Call taxi driver held for auto theft
The Pazhavanthangal police on Wednesday arrested a call taxi driver on charges of stealing an autorickshaw.

Police arrested call taxi driver Appu alias Vimalraj (32), a resident of Pazhavanthangal and recovered the stolen vehicle from him. Police said Vimalraj had stolen the auto belonging to R Balusamy (31), a resident of Gandhi Salai on Tuesday. Balusamy had lodged a complaint with the police on Wednesday alleging that his auto, Â which was parked in front of the house on Tuesday night was stolen. Police checked the CCTV footages from the area and zeroed in on Vimalraj.Â
They picked him on Wednesday and recovered the auto.
