Snatchers knock down woman techie, flee with gold chain
In yet another case of women falling victim to chain snatchers, a software engineer was knocked down from her two-wheeler near Sathyam Cinemas on Wednesday night before the assailants escaped with her seven sovereign gold chain.

Police said Jayanthi (37), a resident of Triplicane, who works for a software firm at Taramani, was returning after meeting her sister at Madipakkam on Wednesday, when two persons on a Pulsar bike followed her and knocked down her two wheeler near Sathyam Cinemas in Royapettah.Â
Jayanthi fell down from the bike in the impact and even before she realises what just happened, the assailants snatched her gold chain and fled the spot.Â
Jayanthi suffered minor injuries in the fall. Later, she lodged a complaint with the Anna Salai police. Police are checking the CCTV footages to hunt down the offenders.
