Sasikala vows to defeat ‘traitor’ O Panneerselvam, ‘enemy’ DMK
Launching an all-out assault against ‘traitor’ O Panneerselvam for ‘betraying’ the party in connivance with ‘enemies’ DMK, a heretofore soft-spoken AIADMK General Secretary VK Sasikala exploded at the urgently convened party legislators and said, “No one has the power to divide us. We will defeat traitors and enemies.”

“Issuing a clarion call to her party MLAs numbering 130 and senior functionaries at a packed AIADMK headquarters to quell the rebellion engineered by Panneerselvam, an agitated Sasikala said the party would not be cowed down by acts of betrayal.
Openly accusing Panneerselvam of plotting with the DMK to destabilise the AIADMK, Sasikala said that she had caught wind of OPS’ nexus with DMK when the latter kept mum in the Assembly when Duraimurugan voiced support for him in the Assembly. Sasikala said the Opposition thus far unforeseen has been emerging owing to the recent development.
Rebutting OPS’ claim that the Sasikala clan had failed to reign in on ministers who had aired views against him, Sasikala said that she had reprimanded the minsters by giving due respect to his words. Stating that it was her duty to prevent a rebellion from happening, she said that late Jayalalithaa had forgiven him and gave him opportunities aplenty, and so did she, despite his being in Janaki faction of the party when it had suffered a split after MGR’s death.
