Decomposed body of youth found in Athipet

The youth, whose head was also smashed using a heavy object, had gone missing from his residence in Athipet three days ago. His parents had lodged a missing complaint with the police and had been searching for him. 

Police said Alex, who earlier lived in Vyasarpadi and shifted his residence to Athipet about six months ago, could have been murdered on the same day he went missing. Police have picked up four youths, who were his friends, for interrogation. 

Police said the real motive behind the murder was yet to be established but suspect that conflicts in a personal relationship could be the motive. Police recovered his body and has sent it for post-mortem. Minjur police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
