Not corporates, only common man hit: VCK
Charging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sponsored by many corporates and he would never act against the interests of those corporates, VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan said his recent move would never eradicate black money. He added that demonetisation at the maximum could cause only hardships to poor people.
Madurai
Thol Thirumavalavan was addressing a protest in Madurai against the demonetisation measure. The VCK leader said that it was a well-known fact that during the 2014 Parliamentary election Modi was sponsored by big corporate houses like Ambanis and Adanis. Â How could he act against their interests questioned Thiru- mavalavan. He claimed that the recent demonetisation measure was aimed against the poor people and small traders and the rich and corporate houses were never affected by the move. Black money has been stored not just as cash but in the form of gold and benami properties and how will they be recovered, he asked. Modi had made several electoral promises regarding bringing back of black money. Eradication of black money is different from bringing back black money, he said. The amount stashed in the foreign banks should be brought back and should be allowed in circulation which will boost the economy but now Modi is banning the money that is under circulation and this would actually be a bane to the Indian economy stressed Thirumavalavan. Leaders from the Left parties participated in the protest at Madurai.
