    Kasthuri Raja refutes Melur couple’s claim on Dhanush

    Kollywood director and father of actor Dhanush, Kasthuri Raja on Saturday said, everybody knows that Dhanush is his son. He has been reacting to the news that a Melur couple has moved the court claiming the actor to be their third son Kalaiselvan.

    “My friends and media persons know me for the past 40 years. They know my son Dhanush from a young age. There are friends who have studied with him here. This is not a worthy matter for me to make a reply,” he said and added that it is pathetic to hear such a news.  

    On Friday, Kathiresan a retired bus conductor of Malampatti of Madurai district and his wife Meenakshi have filed a  writ petition claiming that the top actor in the industry and son-in-law of Superstar Rajinikanth, Dhanush as their missing third son. 

    In the petition lodged before the Melur Judicial Magistrate they have mentioned that “famous actor Dhanush was born on 7 November, 1985 to us and named as Kalaichelvan. He did his primary and middle schooling in a private school in Melur and later did his high schooling at Melur Government School. He dropped out of the school during his Class 11 and went to Chennai. He joined director Kasthuri Raja and became a famous actor afterwards. We went to Chennai to see our son. However, Kasthuri Raja did not permit us to meet him.” 

    Therefore, their son Dhanush should be reunited with them, the couple  petitioned. 

    The court admitting their petition fixed the next nearing on 12 January, 2017 and ordered to send summon to the actor to appear before the court on that date. 

    Kasthuri Raja said that the valuable time of the honourable court is being wasted in such false cases. 

    “I respect the judiciary. I don’t want to tell anything more on the case. The court has several serious problems to take up. Such kind of false cases eat up their valuable time,” he added.
