Narrow escape for 30 after fire on bus

The incident occurred near the state’s border at Javalagiri, when the bus was heading to Kolakondahalli from Javalagiri. The bus was near Allikadakulu, when smoke started emanating from the vehicle’s engine. The driver immediately alerted passengers and asked them to get down. While the passengers hurriedly got down from the bus, the belongings of some of them were destroyed as the flames rapidly spread all over the bus. The fire service personnel rushed to the spot, but before they reached, the bus was completely gutted. Technical snag in the engine is suspected to have caused the fire. The incident affected movement of vehicles on the road for a while.
