TVS’ realty project bags Singapore’s quality certificate
City-based TVS Emerald’s Green Hills project, spread on 18-acres, comprises 448 apartments and 120 villas. The project has got the highest Construction Quality Assessment System (CONQUAS) architectural score, issued by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) of Singapore, in India.
Chennai
CONQUAS is assessment system developed by BCA, which quantitatively measures the overall workmanship quality at the completion of construction. “Developers across the region are increasingly using CONQUAS as a measure of workmanship quality. It helps them to overcome challenges with innovative solutions that meet design complexities, site constraints and site safety requirements,” says Choo Whatt Bin, ED, BCA.
“As a young developer, we believe this is an affirmation of TVS focus on quality and our ability to deliver projects that meet customer aspirations. We believe TVS Emerald has set a new benchmark for high quality buildings in India,” says R Chandramouli, President-CEO TVS Emerald. Developed by BCA, Singapore, CONQUAS is now widely adopted in various projects in Malaysia, China, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Vietnam. It is also widely acclaimed in the UK and South Africa. Emerald Haven Realty Ltd is the real-estate venture of the TVS Group, started in 2012.
TVS Emerald has already completed and delivered one project, GreenHills, before schedule and has recently launched a second project, GreenAcres. TVS Emerald plans to launch further projects over time. Choo Whatt Bin goes on to say, “Since its inception, the CONQUAS has undergone eight revisions. It’s a score-based method for assessing the quality of workmanship of a building. Taking a cue from Singapore, many builders in the UK, Australia, Hong Kong andMalaysia have adopted it.”
