Mason arrested for sexually abusing daughter

The accused identified as Ramachandran (name changed) of Vandiyur in Madurai district, had been abusing his daughter ever since she turned 16. 

Police claimed that he used to click obscene photos of the girl and used to show it to her. He also used to pass lewd comments about the photographs. But the teenager, who had been tolerating her father’s abuse, did not inform her mother about Ramachandran’s behaviour or the photographs. But, as the torture continued, the girl opened up to her mother, Vani (name changed), while at her grandparents’ house. 

After months of persuasion, Vani returned from her parents’ house to live with Ramachandran after taking a promise that he would not trouble the girl again. But, recently when his daughter was sleeping he had tried to make some advances. Shocked by this, the girl shouted for help. 

Frustrated by his behaviour Vani again returned to her parents’ house and lodged a complaint with the Tallakulam All Women Police. Acting on the complaint police conducted an investigation and arrested Ramachandran.
