The First Bench on recording the submission of Traffic Ramaswamy in a PIL that digital banners were illegally installed and allowed to remain there for three days, said “Let both the corporation and police authorities file affidavits explaining the position as to how these digital banners were permitted to be erected at the first place and despite complaint permitted to remain for three days,”

The bench directed both the agencies to file their affidavits within two weeks. Ramaswamy had contended that despite a prevailing court order directing officials to continue the position prevalent during elections till a decision on the digital banners and hoardings is taken unauthorised banners were erected in and around Nandanam Signal.
