Tamil Nadu driver held with truckload of ganja in Bihar

During a routine checking of vehicle, the police seized the truck bearing a TN registration and seized 4.25 quintal ganja from it, Matihani police said. The truck driver Karthik Raj, a native of Coimbatore district, has been arrested in connection with the seizure, he said. 

The price of ganja has shot up with a kg selling for Rs 10,000 in the wake of liqour ban in Bihar. When contacted, the Coimbatore police said that they were yet to receive any communication with regard to the seizure of the ganja-laden truck and the arrest of the Coimbatore driver Karthik Raj from their Bihar counterparts. 

In recent times, the Monday’s seizure is one of the biggest hauls of the contraband in the country sources said.
