Cases booked against Traffic Ramasamy
The cybercrime wing of city police have registered two cases against social activist ‘Traffic’ Ramasamy and his assistant Fatima.

The police took action based on a complaint filed by activist Kishore Swamy and AIADMK cadre Vijaya Raj, alleging that Ramaswamy had been spreading baseless rumours regarding Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s health.
Kishore Swamy, who had come to the Police Commissioner’s office alleged that Ramaswamy and his assistant had been intentionally spreading rumours regarding the Chief Minister’s health and had been trying to disrupt the law and order situation in the state. Police have registered cases under Section 153 IPC (wantonly giving provocative material to cause riots), 505 (i) IPC (causing public fear or alarm) and 505 (c) (intent to incite any class or community to commit an offence). The petitioners demanded action to be taken against the duo.
