    Special pujas performed across Tamil Nadu for speedy recovery of CM J Jayalalithaa

    Tiruparankundram in Madurai was flooded with milk and coconuts as close to 25,000 AIADMK cadre most of them women offered special prayers for the speedy recovery of Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa at the famous Subramaniya Swamy Temple here on Sunday.

    The AIADMK cadre organised a procession which began from the Saravana Poigai at 4 30 am and circumambulated the Tiruparakundram hill. Around 8 30 am, they reached the Murugan temple.

    All the 25,000 devotees who carried milk offered special prayers for the Chief Minister. Milk abhishegams were performed to the deity and 25,000 coconuts were broken outside the temple. The entire area was covered with coconut shells.

    The event was organised by the Madurai rural wing of the AIADMK and the procession was headed by Minister R B Udayakumar. MLA Rajanchella. Large number of AIADMK functionaries offered special prayers. Speaking to the media, Udayakumar said that the health condition of Chief Minister was improving and special prayers would be continued until she recovers completely.

    Ramnad and Thoothukudi: 

    Similar prayers were conducted at Ramanathapuram and Thoothukudi districts. At Rameswaram special prayers were conducted by AIADMK at Badrakali Amman Temple. MP Anwar Raja and State IT Minister Manikandan also participated. Around 500 AIADMK cadre participated in the special prayers. 

    Kovilpatti: 

    At Kovilpatti in Thoothukudi district, large number of AIADMK cadre offered prayers at the Shenbagavalli Amman Temple. Minister for Information and Public Relations, Kadambur C Raju, State Youth Wing Secretary, Chinnadurai, Thoothukudi District AIADMK Secretary, S T Chellapandian, and other important functionaries participated in the prayer which was organised by the Amma Peravai.
