Two held for assault on woman lawyer
Two youngsters who reportedly trespassed into the house of a woman advocate and assaulted her over a family property matter have been arrested. The accused are the nephews of advocate’s late husband, police said.

According to cops of Washermanpet All Women Police Station (AWPS), Advocate Anbarasi (38), a resident of Valluvan Street, Washermanpet, was assaulted by Bhoopathi (26) and Nagarajan (24) inside her house on Monday. In a complaint given to the Washermanpet AWPS, Anbarasi alleged that the duo came to her house in a drunken state and started arguing with her about a family property. Anbarasi’s husband Venkatesan died three years ago and she has been living alone.
