‘PM must sack 3 union ministers from Karnataka’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi should dismiss the three Union Ministers who attended the meeting conducted by the Karnataka government in which the state decided not to give Cauvery water for Tamil Nadu, said MDMK leader Vaiko at Kanniyakumari on Sunday.

Addressing the media, he said that Karnataka is a state that failed to respect the judgment of Supreme Court and is acting against the federal nature of the country.
“When it was illegal to conduct an all-party meeting against the judgment of Supreme Court, three Union Ministers, Ananda Kumar, Sadananda Gowda and Ramesh Sandhappa, participated in the meeting. It was not acceptable and against the law. Hence Modi should sack the three Ministers and also hold talks with the Karnataka government,” he said. Vaiko also suspected that Modi is indirectly supporting Karnataka government in the Cauvery water dispute.
He said that Modi who is advocating unity had failed to implement Supreme Court order and is acting against the unity of the country. He also quoted the conversation between Senior Supreme Court Advocate Fali S Nariman and Karnataka government and why Nariman refused to appear for Karnataka which did not allow water for Tamil Nadu. Modi must understand the problems in Tamil Nadu and should immediately take steps to release water, demanded Vaiko.
Earlier he garlanded the statues of Gandhiji and Kamarajar at their memorials.
