Prisoner on parole commits suicide

Sources said that the deceased had reportedly called another prisoner Vinoth Kumar (24), also on parole, around 6 pm on Sunday over phone and told him that he was planning to take the extreme step due to his love failure. 

Wasting no time, Vinoth rushed to the spot and and pulled Dhanasekar out of the well. Luckily Dhanasekar was alive and Vinoth tried to convince him to give up the suicide thought. 

Even as he was talking, Dhanasekar again jumped into the well. Panicked by this, Vinoth informed the Kaveripakkam police, who rushed with the fire and rescue team. But before the personnel could reach the spot, Dhanasekar had drowned. Later Dhanasekar’s body was retrieved and sent for post-mortem. But, police suspect that Vinoth could have murdered Dhanasekar and dumped his body in the well. 

Kaveripakkan police have registered a case and are investigating.
