Two snatch 70-year-old woman’s chain in Thoraipakkam
Sakthi Srinivasa Nagar at Thoraipakkam witnessed yet another snatching incident, exactly a week after a woman software professional was dragged on the road during a snatching attempt, and a provisional store owner who came to her aid was hacked.

Late Saturday evening, two persons on a two wheeler snatched the five sovereign gold chain of a 70-year-old woman. Police said Gnana Sundari, a resident of Sakthi Srinivasa Nagar, was standing near the gate of her house when two youth, wearing helmets, approached her and asked her about an address.
They showed a piece of paper to the elderly woman and when she was checking it, they snatched her gold chain and escaped from the spot. The woman fell on the ground in the impact. Locals rushed to her aid, but by then the snatchers managed to flee.
