Speaking to the media persons here, Sheker said, “Casteism which was under control for over 30 years has come out presently with more vigour.”
He urged the public not to give caste tag to any accused.
“Ramkumar is an accused and we must see him just as an accused and there should not be any room for putting caste tag on him.” Shekher stressed. He added that cinema also plays a role in the social disorder and this will drive the youth on a negative path.
Meanwhile, he appreciated the moves taken by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on the Cauvery issue.
“While the Supreme Court is taking a favourable stand, there is no need for talks between the states. And an all-party meeting is not possible as all the political parties will never gather together in Tamil Nadu and this is not necessary at present,” he added. He also lauded the present Nadigar Sangam and said that they have been proceeding on a correct and transparent manner.
