Man stabbed by wife, succumbs in hospital

Police said the deceased identified as Rameshkumar married his lover Hebsiba a year ago and the couple was residing at Tirumangalam. As Rameshkumar was a habitual drunkard Hebsiba used to fight with him frequently over his habit.

Meanwhile, on September 7 Hebsiba told him that she was going to visit her previous employer to get her salary arrears. But, Rameshkumar objected and also spoke ill of her. Enraged by this, she pulled out a knife and stabbed him in his stomach and neck. On hearing his screams, neighbour rushed to the spot, rescued and rushed Rameshkumar to Tirumangalam GH. He was later referred to the Madurai GRH. 

But Rameshkumar succumbed to injuries at the GRH on Tuesday night.
