Maharashtra Governor gets Tamil Nadu as additional charge
Governor of Maharashtra Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao will discharge the functions of the Governor of Tamil Nadu, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements are made.

The decision has been taken as the tenure of the present governor K Rosaiah ended on August 30. This was stated in a communique issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The communication from President’s office said : “Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao, Governor of Maharashtra to discharge the functions of the Governor of Tamil Nadu, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements for the office of the Governor of Tamil Nadu are made.”
A native of Karimnagar, Telangana, CV Rao had been a Minister of State in the Vajpayee-government. He was appointed Governor of Maharashtra in 2014. K Rosaiah was appointed as the Governor of Tamil Nadu in August 2011 by the then President Pratibha Patil.
