Sources said that S Muthukaruppu (7) was a Class 3 student of Swamy Matriculation School at Keezhapazhuvur. It is said that the school authorities on Tuesday informed Muthukaruppu’s parents that their son had fallen ill suddenly and they were taking the boy to the Keezhapazhuvur PHC. When, parents and relatives rushed to the PHC, they could not find the boy there. After a few hours, the school administration brought Muthukaruppu to the PHC, where doctors declared the boy ‘dead on arrival’. Following this, the parents raised suspicion over the death and besieged the school demanding the arrest of the correspondent. They called off their stir after officials assured them of action.
