K Mahapriya (26) from Oojampatti from Theni district had filed a writ petition with the High Court claiming that her husband, Kalaivanan (34), had been missing from February 2. She had alleged that Kalaivanan had previous enmity with his previous boss Sannasi, a bike showroom owner, and his son Vicky.  On February 2, Kalaivanan’s brother Chandrabose is said to have received a call which claimed that Kalaivanan was stabbed.

However, there was no further information from the caller and the phone remained switched off. Suspecting that her husband might have been murdered, Mahapriya filed a case at Allinagaram police station. But since Kalaivanan was not traced till date, she approached the court seeking its intervention and direction to police to produce Kalaivanan at the court. However, SP submitted before the court that 25 special teams were formed and the search was on in full-swing to trace Kalaivanan. Based on his submissions, the court adjourned the case to August 11.
