As per the new government order issued on Monday evening, DGP TK Rajendran has been posted back as Greater Chennai Commissioner of Police. The incumbent Ashutosh Shukla, who was appointed by the EC as CoP, has been sent back to Prohibition and Enforcement wing.
JK Tripathy has been reinstated as the ADGP Law and Order and C Sylendra Babu who is presently holding the charge, has been reinstated as the head of Coastal Security Group.
Similarly, Intelligence ADGP Karan Singha has also been sent back to CB-CID and IG Satyamurthy, who was transferred out by the EC, has been reinstated as IG Intelligence, while keeping the ADGP Intelligence post vacant. ADGP George has been given overall charge of Prisons department.
