No alliance with giants in future too, says Anbumani
Despite a crushing defeat in the Assembly elections, Pattali Makkal Katchi is firm on contesting the local bodies and other coming elections without an alliance. Also, the party will not forge any tie-up with both the Dravidian parties in future, says its leader Anbumani Ramadoss.

Addressing the media on Friday, the party’s chief ministerial candidate said that about 23 lakh people had voted for PMK across the state. “In truth, they did not get even a single rupee for their vote, and we want to thank them,” Anbumani said.
The party was treating politics as service to the people. “At the same time, the Dravidian parties treat it as business. Though the Dravidian parties have won the assembly elections, they have done it with money power,” the youth wing leader said. Stating that the PMK party had won the hearts of people, Anbumani stressed that they would not be cowed down by this defeat. “We will strive hard to win the hearts of people and we will win the coming elections,” the sitting MP said.
Anbumani said he was worried about the people who did not give priority to welfare schemes the PMK had outlined in its manifesto and voted for money.
He congratulated the winning candidates of AIADMK and DMK. “Though our party members will not be in the assembly, we will act as a responsible opposition party in the state,” Anbumani said.
