PMK, TVK shocked as their candidates join AIADMK

S Karupiah, TVK candidate for Madurai North, joined AIADMK in the presence of Madurai Mayor and the party candidate Rajan Chellappa. 

Similarly, PMK candidate for Nanguneri, Thirupathi, joined AIADMK in the presence of AIADMK candidate for Tirunelveli constituency and former Minister, Nainar Nagendran. 

This is the second constituency in the southern districts where PMK doesn’t have a candidate after Ramanathapuram. 

Meanwhile, scores of cadre from PMK and Tamil Manila Congress (TMC) in Thoothukudi joined DMK in the presence of DMK south district secretary N Periyasamy on Friday. 

PMK district president Sesiah Fernandu, whose candidature was rejected for Thoothukudi constituency in the scrutiny process, former PMK district secretary Christy and TMC state general secretary of fishermen unit Ronald Villavarayar were among the important functionaries who joined DMK.
