Chalking out a career in architecture
MIDAS Architecture College, Swarnabhoomi, presented a workshop-cumseminar designed to inculcate broader knowledge on architecture and industry trends.

The seminar delivered an in-depth understanding on scope and techniques of the industry for over 200 aspirants. Taught by eminent academicians, it offered students knowledge on the various career avenues. Speaking on the topic, Xavier Benedict, HOD, MIDAS Architecture College, said, “Besides educational qualifications, a person should possess good observation skills, creativity, mathematical skills and dexterity (in drawing and sketching) to succeed as an architect. Additionally, a burning desire to update one’s knowledge of latest developments, an understanding of legal and financial matters and good perception of social and psychological attitude gives one an edge.”
The platform presented plenty of opportunities to look at how the combination of design, culture, science and technology works to create new buildings, from private homes to skyscrapers.
