Vaiko lauds Nitish on prohibition, says war against liquor consumption need of the hour

In a letter to Mr Nitish Kumar, Mr Vaiko, who had been steadfastly demanding implementation of total prohibition in Tamil Nadu, said ''with immense pleasure I convey my greetings for introduction of prohibition against liquor consumption in the state of Bihar.'' 

''As a Chief Minister your Government took this bold decision at the right time when thousands of families are ruined due to liquor consumption in India'', he added. 

Observing that a war against liquor consumption was the need of the hour. Mr Vaiko said ''in Tamil Nadu I have launched a crusade for the past 15 years. I am fully confident that DMDK-PWF alliance will win the assembly elections in the month of May and form a coalition Government so that we will follow the path you have shown''. 

''Let the State of Bihar get many more welfare measures under your stewardship'', Mr Vaiko said.
