Talking to reporters here, Sangam President T S Naagaiyan and General Secretary G Sundaram said Mr Vaiko's remarks not only insulted the DMK Leader but also demeaned the Isaivelalar community.
''By making such disparaging remarks and later tendering an unconditional apology is in no way acceptable. In future if Mr Vaiko makes such remarks, the Isaivelalar Murpokku Nala Sangam will mobilise public support and stage a protest demonstration in front of his house'', they said.
They also said a resolution to this effect was adopted at the Sangam's meeting held here yesterday.Mr Vaiko during the course of an interview made some 'casteist' remarks against the DMK Chief, irking his partners in the PWF, who also took objections to his remarks.
However, Mr Vaiko tendered an unconditional apology and said he never intended to hurt his sentiments.
Vaiko also admitted that it was a major mistake committed by him in his life. His remarks triggered protests from DMK partymen, who burnt him in effigies across the State.
