TN Governor, CM, extend Ugadi greetings
Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah, Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, DMK President MK Karunanidhi and leaders of various parties today extended their greetings on the eve of Ugadi, Telugu New Year's Day

In his message, Dr Rosaiah said, 'On the happy occasion of Ugadi, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to the Telugu and Kannada speaking people in Tamilnadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and in other parts of the country and across the world.
''Let us on the dawn of 'Sri Durmukhi Nama Samvatsaram' resolve to protect and preserve environment and promote greenery'', he said, according to a Raj Bhavan communique.Â
''May we shed hatred and unite to further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and dedicate ourselves to our nation's progress and prosperity'', he added.
Ms Jayalalithaa in her greetings said, 'On the happy occasion of Telugu New Year, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all Telugu and Kannada-speaking people of the State''.
''Even though the language is different, they remained as brothers to this land. They have  also been the part of progress of arts, business, education in the State,' she said.
