According to the police, Selvakumar and his friend actor Kovai Senthil were travelling on their two-wheeler when the brake cable snapped and the bike skid on the road. Both Selvakumar and Senthil fell off the bike and Selvakumar suffered a serious head injury. Both of them were rushed to the a private hospital where Selvakumar was declared dead on arrival. The accident took place around 8.30 p.m. on Thursday, police said.
