PMK blames government for refugee’s death

The victim Ravichandran ails Ravi committed suicide by scaling a tower and touching a high tension wire.  A Revenue Inspector Duraipandi had accosted the victim for not having his grandson present during a census.  

The official refused to entertain Ravi’s explanation that this grandson was admitted in a hospital.  Duraipandi struck his name form the list of refugees. When Ravi asked how he would survive without refugee status, the officials told him to commit suicide. 

Ramadoss claimed that in the last few months six suicides were registered in Lankan refugee camps under suspicious circumstances. He claimed that government apathy was the cause for all the deaths. He claimed that refugees from Tibet and Bangladeshi live with respects in India. He asked why Tamil refugees are not treated the same way. 

Ramadoss demanded the government to close the refugee camp at  Chegulpattu and to release all the Lankan refugees.
