SIFCC to distribute solar lamps on CM’s birthday
The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce will distribute 6,888 solar lamps to students to celebrate CM’s 68th birthday.

As a token gesture of distributing solar table lamps to needy students, Chief Minister Jayalalithaa recently presented the lamps to five students on behalf of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC).
Chairman of SIFCC C Kalyan had earlier requested the Chief Minister to launch the distribution of 6,888 solar lamps on behalf of the chamber. Under this initiative, the film chamber will gift 6,888 solar table lamps to poor students to mark the Chief Minister’s 68th birthday falling on February 24.
Accepting their invitation, Jayalalithaa launched the initiative from Secretariat, a press release said. During the event, President of the film chamber HD Gangaraj released a CD on the achievements of the Chief Minister called Amma Pamalai . Jayalalithaa received the CD and thanked them.
Meanwhile, the student wing of AIADMK North Chennai region donated blood on Monday in connection with the Chief Minister’s birthday. The region’s head David Gnanasekaran launched the blood donation drive at Muthu Kumaraswamy Arts College in Kodungaiyur in which 168 people participated.
