    The Esplanade police arrested three persons, including the driver of a private company for stealing Rs 3.75 lakh from the hands of the company manager and spending it all at Goa. 

    Police arrested Saravana Kumar (27), who was employed as a car driver at a private company where the complainant was a manger. His friends Saddam Hussein (26) and Saravanan (27) were also arrested. Police said on Jan 13, Jayavel, the manager of a private firm had withdrawn Rs 3.75 lakh from a bank to pay the employees. He kept the amount in his car and had gone out for an errand. 

    When he returned, the money inside the car was missing and he lodged a police complaint. Police found Saravana Kumar, who was at the wheels when the money went missing, stole the amount. He then took the car to Goa along with his friends Saddam Hussein of Mannadi and Saravanan of Nazarethpettai. The trio went on to spend the entire amount at Goa partying. 

    The police arrested all three and have recovered the car used by them. Police said Saravana Kumar had been working with the private company for more than seven years.
