A 10-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth at Chinnamanur, here Thursday night

The girl, a Class V student was returning home after purchasing groceries, when the accused Perumal (22) of the same locality forcibly took her to a burial ground and molested her. Based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s parents, Chinnamanur police registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC and arrested Perumal. The girl was admitted to the Government hospital for medical examination.
