CA topper from city to apply for membership
For 23-year-old James John Britto, the All India CA final exam topper from this teeming megapolis, things have drastically changed during the last 24 hrs and he was brimming with confidence as he would be applying for the CA membership in four months.

As the son of a Chartered Accountant, he was equally happy to emerge topper in the CA finals held in November last year.
Attributing this success to adequate planning, strategy and hard work, the Don Bosco School alumnus said he was getting used to being in the limelight, as encomiums continued to pour in since last evening after the results were declared.
Â
With an aggregate of 74.38 per cent, Britto scored 595 out of 800 in the CA final Exams.
"Yesterday this time I was just another boy and things have drastically changed in the last 24 hours as I am getting so much attention that sometimes I have to assure myself that this is all real", he said.Â
Britto has a good academic record. He stood State third in class X board exams and would have been ranked sixth in the State in Plus-2 if he had not chosen German as the second language.
A gold medallist in Loyola College, he was ranked fourth in ACS (company secretaryship) exams.
Stating that his desire to become a chartered accountant had blossomed when he was in class eleven, Britto said "I took Commerce in Plus-1 and told my dad about my decision of becoming a Chartered Accountant. We had a day long chat during which my father told me about the pros and cons of the profession and left the decision to me and offered all support".
Britto cleared the first exam Common Proficiency Test (CPT) in 2010 and second exam Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) in 2011.
However, he had to wait for four years to sit for the final exam in November 2015 as it was mandatory to undergo articleship for three years.
