The Coimbatore Race Course police registered a case under the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986 under section 509 of IPC and Section 67 of Information Technology Act, 2000.

He submitted that he had not released any song containing obscene words as alleged in the complaint and hence no case could be made out against him. He also said that he had immediately complained to the Police Commissioner to locate the person who stole the sound tracks by infringing on his privacy and added the “objectionable” word in the song to defame him among his fan following and the people of Tamil Nadu. He added that the complainant (Mrs. Radhika of AIDWA, Coimbatore) without even finding out the truth, had registered the complaint which would affect his name and image for no fault of his. He, therefore, prayed that the court grant an interim stay of all further proceedings connected with the FIR dated 12.12.2015 and pass orders that the court deemed fit to render justice.
