Khushbu attacks Tamilisai on BJP’s star induction

BJP leader Tamilisai Soundarajan had been sceptical of value addition by film stars to political parties, in an exclusive to DTNext recently. However, after BJP elevated a clutch of stars from both film and television industry, Congress spokesperson Khushbu says Tamilisai should answer her questions. “Congress is not dependent on stars, because we are all party workers first. But BJP, which said it is not dependent on stars has gone and elevated Napoleon, Gangai Amaran, Kutti Padmini and many others. Only a few weeks ago Tamilisai had said BJP is not dependent on stars. What made them change their mind now? Is Tamilsai saying Napoleon is not a star anymore?”

“BJP is the new entrant in Tamil Nadu and it is trying to find a footing. The whole world knows Congress has had many big names from Tamil Nadu who have made a big impact in national politics. This is not like marketing a film based on star cast. Does she know that? We are all workers, working hard for the party and the people. For us, the growth of the party is the only thing that matters, so that we can shape good governance.”
