Arvind Swami to share screen with Rajini in Thalaivar 170

CHENNAI: As the shoot of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer is taking place in Chennai in full swing we have an important update for you about Rajini’s 170th film. It is known that the movie will be directed by Cibi Chakravarthy and produced by Lyca Productions. Though the official announcement hasn’t been made yet, the pre-production work for the film is taking place in full swing. An exclusive update from the camp is that actor Arvind Swami has been finalised as the film’s antagonist.

“Arvind Swami signed the film last week and came on board Thalaivar 170. This will be their first film together after Mani Ratnam’s Thalapathi in 1991. The makers are auditioning for others roles in the film. Thalaivar 170 will go on floors in January 2023,” a source told DT Next.

In Thalapathi, Arvind Swami played the role of Arjun, a collector who constantly warns Surya (Rajini) and Deva (Mammootty) and tries to put and end to their illegal kangaroo courts.

The film is likely to have Anirudh Ravichander as the music director. Rajinikanth is currently shooting for Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer in Chennai. Jailer has Vasanth Ravi, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, and Shiv Rajkumar in important roles.
