Enjoy seeing my daughter grow in lockdown: Ganesh Venkatraman

 “The biggest role I have been playing in my life is that of a father to Samaira. She was seven months old when the lockdown began. In the last six months, she started to walk, say appa and amma to me and Nisha. I am glad that I got to see all that staying at home,” he told DT Next when talking on the sidelines of Castrol Activ #ProtectIndiasEngine campaign. Ganesh, a bike enthusiast added that he has been passionate about bikes since his college days. “I had a Yamaha RX100 and my love for bikes began back in my college days. Even my characters in Thani Oruvan and Unnai Pol Oruvan were closely associated with bikes. Once my bike broke down while I was on my way to attend my examination. I thought I would be missing it. However, a mechanic asked me to remain calm and composed and fixed it for me. I made it on time,” he smiled.

Ganesh, who inspires youngsters with his fitness regimen said that he made it a point to stay in shape this lockdown. “A strong body is always proportionate to a strong mind. Every person, who leads his family is a soldier in a way and needs to stay fit. So, I maintained my fitness schedules. Also, everybody in this quarantine was involved in household chores which in a way is a workout too,” he added. Talking about his upcoming projects, he said, “Shoots are slowly resuming. We have been planning on how to go about it with safety norms in place. I am working on Yugi Sethu sir’s thriller film for which we have completed 80 per cent of work in London. We will resume the next schedule in Chennai. I am looking forward to beginning shooting soon. I am also in talks for several OTT content.”
