Yaamiruka Bayamey sequel to begin with new lead cast
The maker of the film Elred Kumar announced that the second part of the franchise will go on floors post lockdown
The team of the 2014 horor- comedy Yaamiruka Bayamey recently took to Twitter to celebrate six years of their hit film. The producer of the film Elred Kumar of RS Infotainment, announced, on the same thread, that he will be coming up with a sequel to the film this year.
“The success of YB proved that audiences are always ready to welcome unique content irrespective of what the budget is. Filled with more hope, we have now started working on the initial stage of preparations for Yaamirukka Bayamey 2 and will make an official announcements soon,” he wrote. Yaamiruka Bayamey had Krishna, Oviya, Rupa Manjari and Karunakaran in lead roles and was directed by Deekay. When contacted, a source close to the production unit told DT Next, “YB 2 will have a new star cast. We have spoken to a few leading actors from Kollywood and have discussed dates with them. It will be made on a much bigger scale than the first part.”
RS Infotainment also has a film that will be directed by Vetri Maaran. “He has penned the script and the film will be completely shot in India. Earlier, we had plans to shoot the film overseas and but had to drop the plan due to the pandemic. An announcement on Vetri sir’s project too would be made soon,” the source added.
