Vinod’s Kaalai Pozhudhil clocks over 3 lakh views

Vinod, who is a musician in the US says, “This concept has been in the making for over a year now. I initially discussed this with my wife Srividhya Radhakrishnan and she was equally excited about it. Then I touch-based with Deepika Chandrasekharan, an assistant of Gautham Vasudev Menon. That is when things started falling in place. She roped in actors Abishek Joseph George and Amrutha Srinivasan for the project. Both Amrutha and Abishek are busy actors with quite a few web series and films to their names respectively. I’m glad they agreed to allocate time for Kaalai Pozhudhil.” 

Talking about the concept, he says, “It is not a mere romantic number. The lyric as well as the video talks about how the relationship between a couple has evolved over the years. If people see this as a romantic number, I wouldn’t succeed. The crux of Kaalai Pozhudhil is about the balances that we can bring into a relationship.”

Vinoth tells us that the video was crowdfunded. “I had to bring this project alive sitting in the US while the rest of the team was in Chennai. We created a WhatsApp group and coordinated with each other. Moreover, with a huge difference in the time zone, it was difficult. There were no producers initially willing to fund this project. Hence, we invited people to fund and pulled it off,” he adds.
