Titanic revolves around three different stories: Director Janakiraman

“Though the tagline of Titanic is Kaadhalum Kavundhu Pogum (Even love would sink), the film is a comic caper. Despite the film dealing with relationship issues, it has other elements that will tickle the funny bone,” he told DT Next.

Janakiraman revealed that the film will have three different stories which aren’t connected to each other. “Titanic will have a simple narration. It has three different stories across different time period that doesn’t run in parallel. Kalai and Anandhi play one pair while Kaali Venkat and Jaangri Madhumitha are another pair. Ashna is paired with Ragav Vijay in the film. Each of these stories are set in different backdrops. We shot for Kalai’s portions in Kodaikanal, Venkat’s in Coimbatore and Ashna’s in Chennai. Each of these characters will provide the audience with a laugh riot,” he revealed.

The director said that the film was wrapped in 30 days. “We worked round the clock to finish the film in a month. Kalai has never done a comedy film so far and this film is going to be quite different in his graph. Apart from the cast, director Balaji Mohan and actress Gayathrie have played an extended cameo. Their roles though will have short screentime, and will add a twist to the tale,” concluded Janakiraman. Produced by CV Kumar’s Thirukumaran Entertainment, the makers are aiming to release the film in the second week of March.
