Harish, Priya team up for Pelli Choopulu remake
A few months ago, Harish Kalyan surprised his fans with the announcement that he was part of the Tamil remake of hit Bollywood film, Vicky Donor, which had Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role. Now, we hear that the actor has signed yet another blockbuster remake — the Tamil version of Telugu film, Peli Choopulu, a new-age romantic comedy.

Kaarthikk Sundar, a former associate of director Vijay, will be making his directorial debut with this film. A source says, “The shoot of the film has already begun. Priya Bhavani Shankar will reprise Ritu Varma’s role from the original and has allocated bulk dates for the project. The makers are planning to release the film for the summer 2020. An official announcement will be made in a couple of weeks.” The film is produced by A Studios LLP and Havish Productions’
The film won two National Film Awards for Best Telugu film, and Best Screenplay — Dialogues. It was also remade in Hindi as Mitron (2018) and in Malayalam as Vijay Superum Pournamiyum (2019). Meanwhile, Harish Kalyan is also waiting to shoot for yet another project with director Sanjay Bharathi.
