Jyotika to share screen space with Sasikumar next

Looks like actress Jyotika is on a signing spree. A few days ago, we reported that the Naatchiyar star has completed shooting for her upcoming bilingual flick, which features her brother-in-law Karthi in the lead role. The latest we hear is that the actress has been roped in to play a pivotal role in Sasikumar’s next, directed by Saravanan of Kathukutti fame.

A source in the know of things says, “Saravanan narrated the script to Jyotika a months ago. She loved her character and expressed her wish to be part of it. However, she is yet to sign the official agreement.” The source added, “Set in the backdrop of a village, the film revolves around the life of a brother and sister. Jo will be seen playing the role of Sasikumar’s sister in the film. The female lead is yet to be finalised. An official announcement will be made by the end of this month.” This will be the first time, Sasikumar and Jyotika are coming together for a project.

Meanwhile, Jyotika is also working on a film titled Pon Magal Vandhal, which also features veteran directors like Bhagyaraj, Parthiban, Pandiarajan and Pratap Pothen in crucial roles.
