“I look up to their versatility and their dedication. That is why I always choose films or web series with content that haven’t been explored before,” she begins. The Bollywood bombshell was critically acclaimed for Stree, the 2018 Hindi blockbuster, in which she played the titular role. “The audience widely spoke about my makeover for the film, which wasn’t done using prosthetics but with VFX entirely. The reason for me to accept Stree again was because of the content it had. I did Begum Jaan too for its content and my choices have paid off well,” she tells us. Flora forayed into web series even before the medium became prominent with Maid in India in 2016. She is also currently shooting for her Bengali web series Dupur Thakurpo’s third season. “I firmly believe that an artiste can shine in his/her profession regardless of the medium they work in. There is a misconception that the shelf life of an actor is very less, and they will have to make the most of it. It is totally baseless. I believe that once an actor, always an actor and we are all here to stay,” she brims with confidence.
Flora had portrayed the bold role of Sajeeli in season 2 of Gandi Baat. Talking about it, she says, “I did Gandi Baat for its director Sachin Mohite and for the character of Sajeeli. She was bold as well as sensual. I did the role as a part of my experimentation. You wouldn’t see me in a similar role again in my upcoming projects.” She tells us that she will be back in Tamil and Telugu films soon. “I am listening to good stories from the south. I hope to make an announcement soon,” she concludes.
