Rajini-Siva’s upcoming film to go on floors in December

Speculations in tinseltown were rife that Darbar is all set to be Superstar Rajinikanth’s last film before plunging into politics in 2020. However, last month sources close to the actor told DT Next that Rajini’s next film will be helmed by Siruthai Siva and produced by Sun Pictures, for which an official announcement will be made soon. On Friday, Sun Pictures on their social media account announced the same. Another exclusive information about the film is that D Imman has been roped in to compose music for the Thalaivar 168. “Rajini has given a free hand to Siruthai Siva to choose the cast and crew of the film. Superstar has also approved of Siva’s sentiment of naming the film starting with the letter ‘V’. Hence, the title of the film could be similar to Veeram, Vedalam, Vivegam and Viswasam. The film will go on floors in the second week of December and might release for Deepavali 2020.” Siruthai Siva will begin his project with Suriya only after the completion of his project with Rajini. “Suriya gladly gave Siva the nod to go ahead with Superstar’s project,” added the source.
