Not Ajay, its Anil Kapoor for Shankar’s Indian 2

The shooting for the second schedule of Kamal Haasan-Shankar’s Indian 2 began at a brisk pace in Andhra Pradesh. The makers have now shifted their location to the outskirts of Chennai since Monday. A picture of Anil Kapoor and director Shankar from the sets of the film went viral on social media on Tuesday. This sparked off rumours that the actor would playing the antagonist in the film and has replaced Ajay Devgn.When contacted, a source close to the film’s unit told DTNext, “Ajay Devgn couldn’t allocate bulk dates for the film. Hence, Anil Kapoor has been roped in to play a crucial role in the film. He visited the sets to discuss with Shankar about his character and is yet to begin shooting forhis portions.”

Apart from Anil Kapoor, television anchor Jagan is yet another addition to the film’s cast. An action scene featuring Siddharth, Jagan, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Rakul Preet Singh is currently being shot. Kamal Haasan will join the team later this week.
