Antony Varghese of Angamaly Diaries in Vijay 64

On Tuesday, there were speculations that Shanthnu Bhagyaraj has been roped in for a crucial role in the film. However, the unit made an official announcement that Antony Varghese of Angamaly Diaries fame will be playing a pivotal role in the project. Talking to DTNext, a source close to the film’s unit said, “Vijay 64 is all set to go on floors from October 3. The film was earlier supposed to begin in Delhi. However, the location has now been shifted to Chennai. The first schedule of Vijay 64 will go on till the third week of October before a break. We will resume the shoot in November that will go non-stop till February. We are aiming to release the film in April 2020.”

Sathyan Sooryan of Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru fame will be handling the camera, Anirudh Ravichander will be composing the music for the second time for a Vijay film after Kaththi. Tinseltown buzz is that Malavika Mohanan and Kiara Advani will be playing the female leads in the film. An official announcement on the entire cast and crew of the film is expected to be made later this week.
