Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Super’ somersault for Megastar Chiranjeevi

The pre-release event of the multi-starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy took place in Hyderabad recently. Vijay Sethupathi, who is reported to play the role of commander Raja Paandi shared the stage with Megastar Chiranjeevi at the event. Sethu, who is known for his balancing act in public events won the hearts of the audience and fans when he shook hands with Superstar Rajinikanth at the audio launch of Petta.

People lauded him saying that while everybody bowed to Rajini and touched his feet, Sethu was the only level-headed person and maintained decorum with his gesture.

However, he became the epicentre of fans’ trolls when he touched Chiru’s feet on stage. Netizens took to social media and said that if Vijay Sethupathi can bow down to Chiranjeevi, why didn’t he greet Rajini the same way? This shows his double standards, they commented. Megastar Chiranjeevi lauded Vijay Sethupathi at the event and said, “Vijay Sethupathi is the busiest actor right now in Tamil cinema. Producers are waiting for more than two weeks for his dates. But when we asked him to play an important role in the film, he readily agreed for me. Thank You, Vijay Sethupathi.”
