SA Chandrasekhar’s latest venture Capemaari aka CM that has Jai, Athulya Ravi and Vaibhavi Shandilya in lead roles has come under the scanner. The office-bearers of FEFSI, who recently met with the Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, met the media on Monday. Talking at the event, RK Selvamani, who helms the body said that they are upset with the title of SA Chandrasekhar’s film as they feel it is an indirect jibe on the Chief Minister and asked the veteran director to change the title of the film immediately.
When we contacted SA Chandrasekhar and asked if he will bow to FEFSI’s demand, he told DTNext , “I cannot comment on the issue now. However, all I can say is that my film has no connection to politics.” Touted to be a romantic action drama, Chandrasekhar is planning to release the film by the end of this year. FEFSI also condemned Vijay Sethupathi for playing Muttiah Muralitharan in the biopic of the former Sri Lankan cricketer and said that the actor has hurt the sentiment of Tamils by accepting to do the film to be produced by Rana Daggubati.
